Buffalo, NY – September 2017 – Employer Services Corporation (ESC), a leading Professional Employer Organization (PEO), recently announced that it is approved to offer a Certified Professional Employer Organization (CPEO) solution.
To become CPEO, a PEO must meet numerous requirements that affect the employment tax liabilities of both the PEO and its customers. Among them are maintaining an appropriate bond, annual financial statement audits, quarterly CPA attestations on employment taxes, and other tax status, background, experience, and business location requirements described in the IRS statute and regulations. This arduous quarterly and annual reporting must be maintained to retain CPEO standing.
