Safety plan

Your Safety Plan

OSHA has announced they are increasing the number of in-person inspections in all types of workplaces due to COVID-19, and they have made it known that they expect businesses to have an exposure/infectious disease control plan. You can begin to develop your business plan by completing the state’s safety plan template.

Components of a robust safety plan may include the following.
1. Your safety plan narrative (telling your story of whether you are an essential business or not, when you began the shutdown, what was your approach on bringing people back, etc.)
2. Your Health and Safety Policy
3. A risk management assessment
4. Safety data sheets
5. Employee return plan
6. Screening procedures (return to the office, daily and visitors)
7. Communication plan
8. Cleaning log
9. Visitors log
